Chalets Inside

Nightjar Chalet

Overview

At Shakati means ‘place of abundance’ and Shakati Game Reserve you can take life easy in the Nightjar Chalet. The Chalet boasts several features which includes the ability to sleep between 4-6 people. Nightjar is named after the fiery necked nightjar which is common on Shakati at night. Nightjar is the third Chalet, when you drive into the Shakati lodge Complex then it is the unit in front of you. Nightjar has an excellent view of the bush and garden.

What does it look like?

Flycatcher Chalet

Overview

At Shakati means ‘place of abundance’ and Shakati Game Reserve you can take life easy in the Flycatcher Chalet. The Chalet boasts several features which includes the ability to sleep between 4-6 people. Flycatcher is named after the African Paradise Flycatcher which breeds in the summer months in the Shakati Lodge Complex. Flycatcher is the second chalet, when you drive into the Shakati lodge Complex then it is the unit at the right hand back. Flycatcher has an excellent view of the bush, garden and water trough where you can view the Animals and Birds drink water (situated approximately 40 metres away from unit).

At Shakati means ‘place of abundance’ and Shakati Game Reserve you can take life easy in the Kingfisher Chalet. The Chalet boasts several features which includes the ability to sleep between 4-6 people. Kingfisher is named after the multiple Kingfishes which occur on Shakati. Kingfisher is the first Chalet, when you drive into the Shakati lodge Complex turn right then it is the unit right in front of you. Kingfisher has an excellent view of the bush, garden and water trough where you can view the Animals and Birds drink water (situated approximately 50 metres away from unit).
